What is SSC MTS?
The Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS) exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) in various Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Offices. This is one of the most popular government job exams in India, attracting lakhs of candidates every year.
SSC MTS offers excellent job security, attractive salary packages, and various allowances. The exam is conducted in two phases - Paper-I (CBT) and Paper-II (Descriptive). Successful candidates get appointed as Multi Tasking Staff in various government departments and organizations.
Exam Frequency
SSC MTS exam is conducted once every year, usually in the month of September/October. The exam consists of 2 papers:
- • Paper-I: General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness
- • Paper-II: Short Essay/Letter in English or any language included in 8th schedule

About Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS)
The Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS) examination is conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) personnel for various Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Offices across India.
With over 30 lakh candidates appearing annually for thousands of vacancies, SSC MTS has become one of the most competitive government job examinations in India. The exam evaluates candidates on their basic aptitude, reasoning, language, and general awareness skills.

Educational Qualification
Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Step 1: Online Registration
Visit the official SSC website and create your account using email ID and mobile number.
Step 2: Fill Application Form
Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
Step 3: Upload Documents
Upload passport-size photograph and signature as per specifications.
Step 4: Pay Application Fee
Pay ₹100 for General/OBC categories (fee exempted for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen).
Step 5: Submit & Confirm
